Fourth day. Kanoto no hitsuji. 1 The weather was clear. I visited Ōdono {Fujiwara no Morozane} for a little while, which was my first visit of the New Year, and then I withdrew. Then, night fell and I entered the palace [Kaya no In]. Because it was an auspicious day, I stayed over. It rained after the Hour of the Rooster {5-7 p.m.}, and around the Hour of the Sheep {1-3 p.m.}, Ōdono came over {to the palace}.
